EXTRAORDINARY YOUNG MINDS

Extraordinary Young Minds (EYM) is a focused branch of our efforts to support character development through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) activities.
G3 Community Services is an official partner of the Stafford County School Board. Through our educational partnership, we have implemented our youth mentorship programs in several elementary and high schools within Stafford County.

We aim to introduce children to STEAM initiatives while focusing on:
STRONG MORAL CHARACTER
CORE VALUES
MUTUAL RESPECT
By establishing a safe environment in which students can learn and explore, we are helping to lay the groundwork for our youth to mature into respectful and productive young men and women. Long term, we are working to increase the number of candidates to fill the STEAM related skills deficit in today’s workplace.

STEAM is a concentrated educational approach to learning five specific disciplines – science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics. STEAM is essential to the development of critical thinking, problem solving, interpretative skills, and social skills. The end result is for students to take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process. EYM is currently recognized and supported by Stafford County Schools and many local individuals and non-profit organizations.

EYM SCHOOLS
EYM has gained notoriety due to high marks from piloted schools. EYM is spreading from elementary schools in North Stafford to include primary schools in South Stafford. The increased demand for EYM has created opportunities for neighboring high school students to become peer role models at each EYM workshop.
EYM Drone Coders
In a world that is progressing towards automation, unmanned drones have replaced the necessity of a physical human presence. EYM’s Drone Coders program introduces our participants to the possibility of using drones to complete desired tasks. In the process of completing their tasks, participants learn how to assemble lines of code to execute drone commands.
EYM Electrical Engineers Team Novice
EYM’s Electrical Engineer Team Novice, introduces our participants to the foundation of electrical circuits and electronic programming. Our robust, engaging, intentional activities aide participants in building their knowledge and skills regarding the conceptual and practical understanding about the functions and designs of circuits. Participants eventually combine basic coding with their new skills to automate and control electrical circuit functions.
EYM EVENTS
Throughout the year, EYM participants are invited to special events designed to engage community fellowship and ignite the spirit of philanthropy. Fundraisers, community events, field trips, holiday parties, and dinner basket giveaways are some activities scheduled for the future EYM calendar years.
